Epidemics don’t discriminate - in our connected world epidemics cross borders, ethnicities, religions, humbling rich and poor.
Crisis management and effective solutions must be based on facts and on collaboration. Multilateral organisations as well as grass roots - national and local - are the critical problem solvers.
Governments will be tested, investors and markets are placing trust in those players demonstrating responsiveness for pre-emptive, corrective strategies.
Once the epidemic is contained, let us place trust and resources back in our collective strength and move beyond self interest. In governance terms, this is known as fair process leadership.
